Title: Senior Accounting Associate

The Role

Do you want to help invent the future of learning online? Minerva Project partners with high schools, higher ed institutions, and corporations to create transformational learning programs based on the science of learning, all of which are taught on our flagship Forum software. As the Senior Accounting Associate on Minerva’s Finance team, you will ensure that we maintain:

  • Accurate financial reporting that informs executive decision making
  • Operational accounting process excellence: keeping our A/R current and our bills paid on-time
  • A streamlined employee experience, from onboarding to payroll and benefits admin

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Maintenance of Minerva’s accounting file, ensuring all transactions are accurately represented
  • Run full-cycle A/P process including entry, approval, and payment
  • Manage the invoicing calendar for Enterprise-level clientele. Collaborate with the Sales and Program Support teams to ensure timely invoicing, and follow up on past-due payments.
  • Process bi-weekly payroll, and work with our Insurance brokers to administer Minerva’s benefits package

  • B.A or B.S. in Accounting, or equivalent technical experience
  • Intermediate-level skill with MS-Excel/Google Sheets
  • Working knowledge of QuickBooks accounting software
  • 3+ years of prior experience as part of corporate accounting/finance organization

Nice to have:

  • Experience with accounting for a startup with a Recurring Revenue business model
  • Managed invoicing & collections involving interfacing with clients’ Procurement departments
  • Have managed/assisted with Benefits Administration for a past employer
